About Us
Our family lives on a small farm called Gilbert Farms in Collinsville, AL, where we spend our days with chickens, cattle, horses, goats, and ducks. We are self employed poultry and cattle farmers which lets us be home with our animals all day so that we can give them all the love are care that they need. It's long hours and sometimes up all night, most rewarding job we can ever have. Taking care of our animals is a job that our family loves doing. However, our most important companions on the farm are our dogs. As English Golden Retriever and Shar-Pei breeders, we are committed to their well-being and ensuring they live their best possible canine lives.
Since Jeremy was young he had the opportunity to work with retrievers teaching them obiediance and to retrieve. He always enjoyed the breed and still loves working with them today. Having experience with the breed we decided to add English cream golden retrievers to our breeding program a few years ago and they have brought so much joy to our family. They get to socialize with the other animals on the farm and enjoy a splash in the pond every chance they get.
All of the animals on Gilbert Farms are a significant part of our family. We love taking care of them, and they return our efforts with love and devotion.
